Best Apps & Social Media Strategies for Lash & Brow Artists

Helping You Build, Grow and Stay Fully Booked

If you’re a lash or brow artist looking to grow your business, social media isn’t just an option - it’s a necessity. It’s how clients find you, trust you, and decide to book with you.

I know how overwhelming it can feel trying to juggle content creation, client bookings, and engagement while running a business. That’s exactly why I’m sharing my go-to apps and strategies to make it easier. This is what I use to keep my social media running smoothly while staying focused on my clients.

Apps That Make Everything Easier

CapCut – The Best Video Editor for Lash & Brow Content

Short-form videos like Instagram Reels and TikToks are the best way to get more eyes on your business. The algorithm pushes them out to new people, meaning more potential clients seeing your work.

I use CapCut to:

  • Edit before-and-after transformation videos
  • Create quick tutorials to show my technique
  • Add text overlays and trending sounds to keep content engaging
  • Keep my edits clean and professional without over-the-top effects

The best-performing videos are simple, straight to the point, and use trending audio. A short transformation video with a strong opening line like, "Fluffy brows in 30 minutes? Watch this," will grab attention and keep people watching.

Preview – For Planning & Scheduling Posts

Consistency is key for social media, but that doesn’t mean you need to post every day in real time. I use Preview to plan my posts ahead of time so I’m not scrambling for content at the last minute.

This app lets me:

  • Schedule posts in advance so I’m not always on my phone
  • Keep my Instagram feed looking cohesive and professional
  • Batch-create content so I’m not rushing to post every day

I usually spend one day a week editing and scheduling content so I can focus on my clients without worrying about what to post next.

Fresha – Online Booking Made Simple

Going back and forth in DMs trying to book clients is time-consuming and unnecessary. I use Fresha to handle all my bookings, so clients can schedule their appointments without needing to message me directly.

Fresha helps with:

  • Online booking through Instagram and my website
  • Automatic appointment reminders so clients don’t forget
  • Tracking client history, including their past services and preferences
  • Processing payments and deposits to secure appointments

To make it easy for clients to book, I always include my booking link in my Instagram bio and at the end of my posts. Instead of just posting a picture with a generic caption, I’ll add something like, "Spots are filling up fast! Book your appointment now—link in bio."

Lightroom & FaceTune – For Clean, Professional Photos

Your work speaks for itself, but good lighting and clean editing take it to the next level. I use Lightroom to adjust lighting and colors and FaceTune to smooth out small imperfections while keeping everything looking natural.

The goal is to make sure your photos look professional without looking over-edited. Creating a custom preset in Lightroom keeps all your photos looking cohesive, which helps your brand stand out.

How to Use Social Media to Attract More Clients

Having the right apps is one thing, but knowing how to use them to grow your business is what really matters.

1. Follow a Content Calendar

Planning ahead makes everything easier. Instead of posting randomly, I plan my content so I always have a good mix of:

  • Before-and-after transformations
  • Tips on lash and brow care
  • Behind-the-scenes content of my process
  • Personal posts so clients get to know me

I aim for three to four posts a week and stay active on stories daily. This keeps my audience engaged without feeling like I have to be online 24/7.

2. Use Strong Opening Lines in Reels & Captions

The first few seconds of your video or the first line of your caption matter the most. If you don’t grab attention right away, people will scroll past.

Some examples of strong opening lines:

  • "You’ll never believe this lash transformation."
  • "Are you making this common mistake with your brows?"
  • "Want fluffy, natural brows in just 30 minutes? Here’s how."

Always end with a clear call to action like, "Want this look? Book now—link in bio." or "Follow for more beauty tips."

3. Show Your Face

Clients don’t just book based on skill—they book because they feel comfortable with you. That’s why showing up on camera is so important.

I know it can feel awkward at first, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. You don’t need to record long videos—just start with small things like:

  • Introducing yourself and talking about what you do
  • Answering a common client question
  • Sharing your favorite products or techniques

The more people see your face, the more they trust you. And trust leads to bookings.

4. Engagement is Just as Important as Posting

Social media isn’t just about putting content out there—it’s about creating a conversation. I always make sure to:

  • Reply to comments and DMs
  • Ask questions in my captions to encourage responses
  • Use interactive Instagram story features like polls and Q&A boxes
  • Comment on other local beauty business accounts to get my profile seen

I set aside 10-15 minutes a day to engage with my audience, and it makes a huge difference. The more active you are, the more the algorithm pushes your content out to new people.

5. Don’t Let Social Media Run Your Life

Yes, social media is important, but it’s also easy to get burnt out. I’ve learned that you don’t need to be online every second to grow your business.

What helps me:

  • Scheduling posts in advance so I don’t have to think about it every day
  • Taking breaks when needed and not stressing about missing a day
  • Not comparing my growth to others—everyone builds their business at their own pace

Being consistent doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. Focus on quality over quantity, and remember that building a strong social media presence takes time.

Growing on social media doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. With the right apps and strategies, you can create content more efficiently, stay engaged with your audience, and attract more clients—all without spending hours glued to your phone.

If you stick with these strategies, you’ll start to see real results. Keep showing up, keep engaging, and most importantly, have fun with it. The more authentic you are, the more people will want to book with you.
